Our stay at Barcelo Maya Caribe was a mixed bag. While the kids enjoyed the fun pools and activities, the overall service and dining let us down this time around. We had a fantastic vacation at the Caribe! It was great for our kids (ages 7 and 13) with plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and the beach was beautiful. While the place was huge and had amazing pool areas across the four resorts, I did find some aspects of the service lacking, especially at reception. Overall, it was clean and comfortable, but we had a few hiccups with our dining experiences and unexpected charges for activities.
