Our stay at Barcelo Maya Caribe was a mixed bag. While the kids enjoyed the fun pools and activities, the overall service and dining let us down this time around. The rooms were clean, which is a plus, but there were some issues with the beach and our overall experience did not meet our expectations from previous visits.

We had a fantastic vacation at the Caribe! It was great for our kids (ages 7 and 13) with plenty of activities to keep them entertained, and the beach was beautiful. While the place was huge and had amazing pool areas across the four resorts, I did find some aspects of the service lacking, especially at reception. Overall, it was clean and comfortable, but we had a few hiccups with our dining experiences and unexpected charges for activities.

While the kids enjoyed the water park, the dining and service left much to be desired. Our room had several issues, including AC problems and cleanliness concerns.
